Koh Larn (also called Coral Island) is a small island off Pattaya’s coast and one of the must-see places in Pattaya. Anyone who has ever been to Pattaya City knows that Pattaya Beach is anything but beautiful.

Koh Larn is now Pattaya’s biggest draw. It has been that way for some time and cannot be denied with the multiple ferry boat loads of tourists visiting the island every day and the speed boats dropping people off as well. Thousands of tourists flock to this small island to enjoy the beaches and the local hospitality.
The Beaches of Koh Larn
Samae Beach Koh Larn
Samae Beach is one of the nicest beaches on Koh Larn. It is only a small beach and is one of the only beaches on Koh Larn that has accommodation right next to the beach.
Samae Beach becomes a very peaceful place to stay. From Pattaya Port you can get a round trip ferry ride direct to Samae Beach for 180 Baht. Or you can get the public ferry for 30 Baht to Na Baan Pier on Koh Larn. From Na Baan Pier you can then hop on the back of a motorbike taxi for 50 Baht and the trip to Samae Beach will take under 15 minutes.
Tien Beach Koh Larn
Tien Beach is the longest beach on Koh Larn, located on the west coast of the island, just a few minutes away from Samae Beach. There is no road access directly to the beach. Motorbike taxis and taxi vans stop at a parking lot and then there is a wooden walk way that travels around 300 meters along a rocky coast until you get to the beach.
One of the nicest things about Tien Beach is it is not covered in deck chairs and umbrellas so you can lay down your towel and actually lay on the soft white sandy beach.
There are roped off swimming sections along the beach so you can swim safely avoiding the many speedboats and jetskies that constantly buzz by.
Monkey Beach Koh Larn
Monkey Beach (Nual Beach) is one of the most popular beaches on Koh Larn for people making day trips to the island. Monkey beach is a long beach with some nice sections of white sand.
There are deck chairs with umbrellas for rent and there are plenty of vendors coming around selling drinks and food. There are also a few nice restaurants at the back of the beach where you can sit and have lunch.
There are loads of speedboats waiting to take people for boat rides around the island and there are also plenty of watersports available like jetskies and parasailing.
